To install a keyless entry system in a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am, first disconnect the negative battery cable for safety. Remove the driver's side door panel to access the wiring harness. Connect the keyless entry module to the door lock and power wires, following the module's wiring diagram. Finally, reassemble the door panel and reconnect the battery before testing the system.
Check the users manual

You will have to have a dealer run the vin to check the original sales codes to see if keyless entry was there.
take it to your near autozone, they started making some aftermarket products,if they don't have one for your vehicle take it to a Chrysler dealership and they will match one up but if they have to reprogram it, it will cost extra along with the keyless entry, sometimes they don't have to reprogram them.
install a toggle switch
Go to http:/www.programyourremote.com It is free and worked like a charm for my '99 LeSabre Limited. Which is not too shabby for a 68 year old grandmother!
