Start of Chevy Astro cable replacement.I have a 2001 Chevy Astro and have been able to lift up the grill on the side of the antenna using a star screwdriver. Underneath the grill the antenna mount removes with a socket wrench. On the end of the radio I have found that the part of the dashboard over the radio just pops off and then there are just a couple clips you push in on each side of the radio that let you slide the radio out. The antenna connection on the back of the radio is just a simple coaxial plug that pulls out. However, now my problem is that somewhere behind the dashboard the cable seems to be tied down to something and I cannot pull it out either end. My next attempt will be to try pushing something like a piece of wire down the hole from the antenna mount to see if I can get it to come out somewhere inside the van where I can grab it.
