The car has positive and negative jump start posts under the hood. The positive one is a large bolt surrounded by bright red plastic. The negative one has black plastic. Use these locations to jumpstart the car instead of batter posts and jumpstart as with a typical car.
THE SAME AS ANY OTHER CAR!
if the problem is that the battery is located in the wheel well (which it is on intrepids) then just attach one end of cable to any ground (bolts for the shock are a great, safe option) and other end to the battery positive terminal on top of your engine
if this doesn't make sense then search how to jump any car and how the DC electrical system works, it's same concept, just not putting cables on battery
You hook the red and black jumper cables to the red and black jump start posts under the hood on the passenger side.
jump start it.
1993-1997 you hook the cables to the battery. 1998-2004 you hook the cable to the jump start posts under the hood, passenger side.
To jump start a 2003 Dodge Intrepid, first, ensure both vehicles are turned off. Connect the positive (red) jumper cable to the positive terminal of the dead battery, then attach the other end to the positive terminal of the working battery. Next, connect the negative (black) cable to the negative terminal of the working battery and attach the other end to a grounded metal surface on the Intrepid, away from the battery. Start the working vehicle and then attempt to start the Intrepid.
To jump start a 2003 Dodge Intrepid, first ensure both vehicles are in park with their engines off. Connect the red positive (+) jumper cable to the dead battery's positive terminal, then attach the other end to the booster vehicle's positive terminal. Next, connect the black negative (-) cable to the booster vehicle's negative terminal and attach the other end to an unpainted metal surface or a grounding point on the Intrepid. Start the booster vehicle, let it run for a few minutes, then attempt to start the Intrepid.
You put the red cable on the red stud by the air filter. You put the black cable on the ground stud on the strut tower.
Yes
Under the hood there are positive and negative jump start posts that are clearly labeled.
With this symptom, if you tried to jump start the car it would start. The answer was a corroded Black/Cable going to the Negative terminal of the Battery.
Under the hood on the driver side are jump start posts. Hook your jumper cables to those.
This I know due to the fact that I have just done so last night. There is a poaitive charge connection, that is labeled so with a red positive cover. Above that further up is a negative, it's in black and you do sort of have to look for it. Those are your posts for jump starting the car.
Hook the cables to the jump start posts under the hood. They are labled with a + and -
