If your STS is like mine, the battery is under the rear seat. You can pull up on the rear seat and expose the battery, at which point, you can attach jumper cables.
Don't do that.There is a plus(+) terminal under the hood.Just hook up the jumper cable to this terminal and minus(-) to the metal part(ground) and you are all set.

Well for one i think its known as a fuel pum, and in 99 sts's theres a trap door with like 6-8 screws in the back right hand corner of the trunk, just lift up the carpet on you'll see it, remove the screws and the fuel pump is right there
