when accelerating, if the transmission seems to "jump" or "slip" and is fine after that, it's probably low on fluid. while the trooper is on and in park, pull out the transmission dipstick to read the fluid level.
wherwe is the dip stick 2002 Isuzu trooper, thank you
the 2002 trooper has no tranny dipstick, you need to check it from under the car. on the tranny pan are two drain plugs. one to drain, one to fill. you need to pump the fluid into the fill plug hole. this is best done at a shop that has a pump . fill it up until the fluid runs out the fill hole. quickly replace the plug. do this on a level surface.
it is on the transmission pan...you have two....its the highest one....the other is a drain plug...
This censor is located behind the grill. On the drivers side of this vehicle behind the grill and in front of the radiator.
In a manual transmission vehicle, jumping gears involves moving the gear shift lever to change the gear ratio, which determines the speed and power of the vehicle. This process requires coordination between the clutch pedal, which disengages the engine from the transmission, and the gear shift lever, which selects the desired gear. When shifting gears, the driver must match the engine speed with the vehicle speed to ensure a smooth transition and prevent damage to the transmission.
The sister vehicle of the Isuzu Trooper is the Acura SLX
I've read that bad u-joints can cause a cracked transmission case. I've also read that bad mounts, shafts out of alignment, jumping the vehicle, engaging the transmission at high RPM, can cause transmission cases to crack.
The engine computer on 1991 Isuzu Troopers is mounted on top of the transmission hump, under the center console in the cab of the vehicle. If you have the 4L30E transmission then the transmission computer is mounted next to the driver side (Left) front speaker.
On a Clone Trooper, it's on his helmet. On the 1990 vehicle, it's located underneath the wheel well.
To change the transmission fluid, jack up your SUV to have enough room to get under the vehicle comfortably and safely. Find the transmission and have a drain pan under it. Remove the drain plug and allow fluid to drain. Remove all of the bolts and lower the transmission pan. Remove the transmission filter and replace if needed.
literature as a vehicle for cultural transmission
A person should be able to trouble shoot problems in a car. A vehicle would stall out after starting because of a failure in the fuel system, or it could be a bad O2 sensor.
There are a few reasons for a transmission to growl. It could be that the vehicle is low on fluid, and the gears are starting to grind, it could be that there is dirt within the system causing it to grind as well.
it should tell u on the driver side sun visor! ..I own a 1999 Isuzu trooper...in order to put it into 4wd! stop vehicle, shift transmission lever to neutral and then shift your transfer lever to 4L and then shift your transmission lever to D. (for normal 2wd your lever should be on HIGH) and to go back from 4wd to 2wd do the the same! stop vehicle put it into neutral and shift your transfer from your 4L position to HIGH. NEVER DRIVE 4WD ON PAVEMENT.
