the watetr pump will be noisy will leak water at water pump weep hole and motor will overheat. there is three ways to check water pump first with engine at normal temperature squeeze radiator top hose if water pump is okay you will feel a pressure surge as hose is released check for liquid leak at water pump and lastly grab water pump pulley and check for play if it is loose it will be noisy when running

It depends on the year of the the Focus. I know for a fact, since I own one that all Ford Focus's in the year of 2005 and above have air conditiong.

I don't know where the thermostat is physically located on a Focus specifically, but if it is underneath the water neck on top of the intake manifold it may be a poor sealant & gasket used when the water neck was mounted/installed. Perhaps you may want to refer to a Chilton's guide for the Ford Focus to replace the thermostat gasket and sealant?

First, you have to know what's wrong with it. AC repair really isn't a DIY thing.. you'll be much better off having a qualified tech do it.
I have the same problem, except I have a cassette player and not a CD player. I believe the answer is the antenna has come loose from the radio but I do not know how to check it.
