How do you program key-less remote transmitters for 2004 Chevy Tahoe or 2004 Chevy in general?

1. Get in the truck and close all doors

2. Put key in ignition (don't turn it)

3. Hold down unlock button on truck (don't release until step 8)

4. Turn key to on (turn it until just before starting the truck)

5. Turn key to off

6. Turn key to on

7. Turn key to off

8. Release the unlock button on the truck (This typically makes the locks toggle or the horn honk, etc.)

9. Hold both the lock and unlock button on the transmitter until the locks cycle

10. Repeat with additional remotes (up to 4)

11. Turn key back to on position to exit programming mode

Note:

This training process seems to work with most Chevrolet vehicles. At least, it's worked with all of mine.

Do steps 4-7 fairly rapidly, don't pause in between them.

You don't turn your car on during any point of this process.
