Is a 2wd Dakota truck flat towable
2002 Jeep Liberty 2WD Standard can be towed in neutral. 2002 Jeep Liberty 2WD Automatic cannot be towed. 2002 Jeep Liberty 4WD Standard & Automatic can be towed by placing transfer case in neutral and removing a fuse from the fuse block (ignition fuse). The 2WD Automatic must have the driveshaft disconnected or you must use a tow dolly or car trailer.
According to the 2006 Jeep Liberty Owners manual a two wheel drive Liberty CANNOT BE TOWED!
No, there was an 2wd option.
2WD, no. 4WD, yes. The transfer case has to be in neutral with the transmission in park.
Push the tow mode button
AnswerI have the same issue with my '03 Jeep Liberty Renegade. I let a mechanic look at it... it seems there's some sort of sensor to be replaced. Expensive! I'm not mechanically inclined and will not be able to install this myself. It must be a "Jeep" thing : )
Not sure what a 2x2 Jeep is, but the 2wd and 4wd Cherokees are good vehicles.
Where is the ASD relay located on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee 2WD ?
your selection sensor is bad or the sensor hasn't figured out you are in 2wd. try driving in reverse for a good couple hundred feet, then pull forward, sometimes this will help the sensor realize what position the transfercase is in. the sensor is on the top front of the transfercase
You push the key remote unlock button two times.....
It should come out just from moving the stick to the 2wd mode but a lot of the times you have to move in reverse for 40 or 50 feet. You should simply be able to push the handle to the 2wd mode but many times it'll indicate that you're no longer in 4wd when you're really still in. You sometimes have to drive the vehicle in reverse for 40 or 50 feet. It should come out by then. You can check it by making tight turns and see how the steering feels.
