To put a new belt on a 1996 Chevy Blazer, first, ensure the engine is off and cool. Loosen the tensioner pulley using a socket or wrench to relieve tension on the old belt, then remove the old belt. Route the new belt around the pulleys according to the belt diagram usually found on a sticker under the hood, then pull the tensioner again to slip the belt over it. Finally, check the alignment and ensure the belt is secure before starting the engine.
Put your new fan belt around the pulleys of your 1992 Chevy Blazer. Tighten the fan belt with the tensioner pulley.

If its a full Size Blazer, call local junk yards, may be able to use a 350, if so there are a number of them around.
Pull the belt tensioner to the side with a socket and ratchet. Slide the old belt off. If possible use a helper to slide the new belt on. Release the ratchet to let the pulley hole the belt in place.
Replace the belt.

The 1996 Chevrolet Blazer shifting cable will have a retaining nut on each end of the cable. Loosen the retaining nuts. Remove the cable routing retainers. Reverse the process to install the new cable.
Remove the alternator belt by loosening the tensioner pulley. Remove the wiring from the alternator. Remove the retaining bolts to the alternator. Reverse the process to install the new alternator.
insert a 1/2" rachet into the tension pully, pull clock wise this will relive the tension on the belt thus allowing you to remove the belt repet to install new belt. make sure the groves of the belt are properly in place before relasing the tension pully back to tension

Loosen the tensioner pulley on your 2001 Chevy Impala. The serpentine belt will become loose. Take the old belt off and put the new belt on. Tighten the new serpentine belt with the tensioner pulley.
