To open the trunk of a Chevy Cobalt with a dead battery, you can use the manual key override if your model has one. Look for a keyhole on the trunk lid or near the latch. Alternatively, you can access the trunk from the back seat by folding down the rear seats, which allows you to reach the trunk release mechanism directly. If all else fails, you may need to jump-start the battery to regain power.

To lower the back seat in a 2006 Chevy Cobalt, first ensure that the seat is unlatched. Locate the release lever or pull the seat release strap, typically found at the top of the seat back or near the seat base. Once released, push the seat back down to fold it flat. Make sure to secure it back in place when raising it again.
To fold down the back seat of a Chevy Cobalt without opening the trunk, locate the release levers or straps on the top of the rear seatbacks. Pull the levers or straps to unlock the seatbacks, and then push them forward to fold them down. If your model has a 60/40 split seat, you may need to release each side individually. Always ensure that the front seats are not pushed back too far to allow the seatbacks to fold down properly.
Depends on the model and make? I believe many now have a release latch or something in the trunk that must be pulled before being able to lay down the rear seat.
There are two latches in your trunk. They are on the roof of the trunk, one for each seat. Just pull them back and it will unlatch the seats.
Sometimes the latch on mine sticks on the drivers side, i usually push the seat back with my other hand to relieve the pressure on the latch. I then pull up on the handle and the latch will release all the way and allow the seat to come forward.
Usually if you loosen the screws on the latch receiver mounted on the cab edge, the latch can be shifted up/down or front/back.
