you will need a scanner,a computer that plugs into the diagnostic connector,it talks to the cars onboard computer an tells you what the fault codes are,if it's a good scan tool...what the codes mean as well...on some late model cars you can do it manualy, without a scan tool...but unless you know what your doing you may cost yourself heaps of money...a good scan tool is about 5 to seven grand,an upwards..really not worth it as it will cost about a hundred bucks for a mechanic to look at it...an a do it yourself owner will hardly ever use it..that's Aussie dollars btw...you can get cheap an nasty one's..but i think there only good as a paper weight.

No, it will not.
Same as on all new cars -- attach an OBD-II compliant code reader to the OBD-II socket, located on the lower left of the dash, and read the codes.
Perhaps there are no codes set to read.
You need an OBD scanner or take it to your local Auto Parts store. Stores like Advance auto parts can usually read codes for you. The generic codes they read out can be converted to Volvo's OBD codes. The generic codes usually start with the letter P.
To read diagnostic codes on a 2005 Jaguar Vanden Plas, you will need an OBD-II scanner. Connect the scanner to the OBD-II port, usually located under the dashboard near the driver's seat. Turn on the vehicle's ignition without starting the engine, then follow the scanner's prompts to retrieve the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). These codes can then be cross-referenced with a diagnostic manual or online resources to identify issues.

To read OBD codes for a 2002 Jaguar X-Type, you'll need an OBD-II scanner. Connect the scanner to the OBD-II port, typically located under the dashboard near the driver's seat. Turn the ignition to the "On" position without starting the engine, and follow the scanner's prompts to retrieve the codes. Once you have the codes, you can look them up to diagnose any issues with the vehicle.

To retrieve diagnostic codes from a 2005 Ford F-150, you can use an OBD-II scanner. Plug the scanner into the OBD-II port, usually located under the dashboard near the driver's side. Turn the ignition to the "On" position without starting the engine, and then follow the scanner's instructions to read the trouble codes. Additionally, you can reset the codes by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, but using a scanner is the most effective method for diagnosis.
