Open the rear hatch. You should see a small "cut-out" in the carpet toward the left at the rear edge of the plastic edging. Lift that and you should see a bolt. I use a ratchet wrench to turn it. Turn it and it will lower the spare tire to the ground, where you can remove the cable and the tire. Reverse the procedure to re-secure the tire.
