Actually the upper one is the easiest, Jack up the vehicle, remove the tire, remove the nut on the end of the ball joint, sometimes you have to cut the nut to remove it. I have found at this point it easier to cut the rivets off the top of the balljoint (the new will have bolts) using either a chiesel and hammer or an air hammer, using a ball joint seperator separate the joint from the steering knuckle at this point you shoud be able to pull the ball joint straight up from the A-arm just reverse the procedure making sure to use all the new attaching hardware and be sure to torque everything to spec's
