The fuel filter on a 1985 Chrysler 5th avenue should be below the alternator on the passenger side of the car
It is inside the fuel tank.
On a 1984 Chrysler Fifth Avenue, the fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. To access it, you typically need to remove the tank from the vehicle, as it is not externally accessible. The fuel pump itself is mounted on the top of the tank and is connected to the fuel lines and electrical wiring. Always ensure to take proper safety precautions when working with fuel systems.
By the fuel tank but I can't remember exactly where!

passenger side of the engine up front under alternator.
on my 1987 i had to remove the alt. it is under the pass side front engine. I also got longer fuel hoses and routed the fuel filter up higher on the fender. hope this helps.
Passenger side of motor at the bottom, coming from the firewall to the front of the car, it is just before the fuel pump.
I haven't got any diagram for chrysler, but you wanted a fuel system diagram anyway, try this http://www.vow2.co.uk/instalation.htm
To fix the fuel rail on a 1991 Chrysler Fifth Avenue, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Remove the intake manifold if necessary for access, then detach the fuel lines and any brackets holding the fuel rail in place. Replace any damaged O-rings or the fuel rail itself, ensuring all connections are secure before reassembling. Finally, reconnect the battery and check for leaks by turning the ignition on without starting the engine.
To change the fuel filter on a 1992 Chrysler Fifth Avenue, first, ensure the vehicle is off and the fuel system is depressurized. Locate the fuel filter, which is typically situated along the fuel line under the car, near the rear axle. Disconnect the fuel lines from the filter, taking care to catch any spilled fuel. Replace the old filter with a new one, ensuring the flow direction matches the markings on the filter, and reattach the fuel lines securely before starting the vehicle.
