When you look under the hood, back side of the head lamp, you will see 3 small clips. Use a screw driver to release them, head lamp housing then just comes out from the out side.

How do you remove the head light assembly on a 1992 crown Victoria?

Open the hood and remove the black plastic panel behind headlamp. There are four clips holding the H/L assembly in . They can be hard to remove without the proper tool. You can try to pull them up and out with pliers and a screwdriver to open them a little as you lift them up. It not going to be easy. When you have the clips off you can pull the H/L right out. Put The new assy in and push the clips back down behind H/L.
