To remove the radiator from a 1979 Trans Am, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the negative battery cable. Drain the coolant by opening the petcock at the bottom of the radiator. Next, disconnect the upper and lower radiator hoses, remove any mounting bolts or brackets holding the radiator in place, and carefully lift the radiator out of the engine bay. Finally, check for any additional components like transmission lines that may need to be disconnected.
