How do you remove rear fuel tank on a 1997 Ford F-350 diesel to remove water from tank?

to remove the tank,

first thing u need to do is try to use as much fuel from tank as possible

remove spare wheel

then if you have a floor jack ,u need to support the tank

there are 2 straps that support the tank

u need to remove bolts that hold these straps

disconnect fuel filler hose from tank

disconnect fuel supply line from tank

disconect fuel gauge wire

lower fuel tank on jack

ps there are fuel additives you can buy that will remove water from the fuel and tank

also a nother way to do this is add about 1/2 gallon of gasoline to full tank of fuel

the gasoline will burn off water when it burns in fuel with normal use
