If you don't have a strong impact wrench, you're going to need a very very long handled ratchet wrench.
I keep a length of pipe that slides over the end of the socket wrench just for these nuts - provides the extra leverage for my measly muscles to break the axle nut loose
Note: it's a 30mm nut
221 ft/lbs
Nut you see after you remove the dust cover, in the middle of the drum, 30mm socket needed to remove
Tighten front axle wheel hub retaining nut to 157-212 ft. lbs
axle nut torque on a 1995 ford aspire
a 32mm
You must remove the center dust cap then remove the spindle nut. You need to tap the drum with a rubber mallet to remove it.
To remove the key from the spindle nut, first loosen the nut using the appropriate tool. Once the nut is loose, slide the key out of the keyway on the spindle shaft by grasping it firmly and pulling it out. Be cautious not to damage the key or the spindle during this process.
I have a 95 ford windstar its uses a 30mm deep socket. Try asking Auto Zone they gave me the answer for mine. Hopes this helps.
To replace the rear hub bearing you: 1. Jack up the wheel and support it with a stand. 2. Remove the brake drum and shoes. 3. Remove the cover on the spindle. 4. Raise the staked portion of the spindle nut with a hammer and punch. 5. Remove the nut. 6. Unbolt the strut from the spindle. 7. Unbolt the trailing link from the spindle. 8. Unbolt the lateral links from the spindle. 9. Take the spindle and bearing to a machine shop. The old bearing must be pressed out and the new bearing pressed into the spindle.

1) Raise and support the front of the vehicle. 2) Support the lower control arm with a floor jack in excellent condition. 3) Remove the wheel. 4) If 4WD, remove the axle nut. 5) Remove brake caliper, pad holder, and rotor. 6) Unplug wheel speed sensor at connector and loosen all wire stays. 7) Loosen outer tie rod nut and remove tie rod from spindle. A hammer may be required to separate tie rod stud from spindle. 8) Remove cotter pin and loosen upper ball joint nut, then strike spindle repeatedly with large hammer until ball joint comes loose. Then remove nut. 9) Remove cotter pin and loosen lower ball joint nut, then strike spindle repeatedly with large hammer until ball joint comes loose. Then remove nut. 10) Move spindle away from truck.
