The alarm module (a black box that is about 3 inches square) can be unplugged with no affect on any other system. I wish I could tell you where that box is located but if you look under the dash with a flashlight the OE module does have a sticker on it that says "alarm module". It might also be under a seat. All you have to do is unplug it. I sure wish I was paying better attention back when I had mine removed. I was like, "Duh, thanks". All it did was disable the clicker, which I didnt have anyway and was the reason I did this in the first place and no other functions were affected. I still have that thing floating around in my center console. Good luck.

The alarm system on your Jeep Grand Cherokee is controlled by a small, approximately 3 inch square box that plugs into wiring under your dash on probably the drives side towards the middle. It is black in color and is printed with the words "alarm module. If you unplug that the alarm system will be permanently disabled and starting issues may be resolved as well.
In a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, the fuse for the alarm system is typically located in the fuse box under the dashboard on the driver's side. Look for a fuse labeled for the alarm or security system; it may also be combined with other electrical systems. If you're unsure, consult the owner's manual for a detailed diagram of the fuse box. Always ensure the vehicle is off before checking or replacing fuses.
