There is a clip in the front of the shifter handle, put the shifter in first gear and you can see it. pull it out with a regular screw driver. pull the shifter knob off, the the Gear select insert does come out. there are four bolts under that, then there are two inside the center compartment also, then the whole works will come out.
you need to replace your heater core.
My Horn on my 1995 Oldsmobile Achiva does not work. How do I get it to work?
I have a 94 Achieva that did the same thing. It was a bad light switch. Replaced the light switch and have had no problems since'
make sure the engine is mostly cooled, and open the peck-cock on the bottom passanger side of the radiator
Check the brake light fuse first. Then check for a bad brake light switch at the brake pedal.
i have a 95 olds achieva 3.1 6 cylinder and it has a timing chain
You can also purchase them online here is a link to yours. [http://www.themotorbookstore.com/skylark1.html 95 Achieva] Chiltons or Haynes books are available for purchase at auto parts stores, your local library will have them in the reference section as well.
The headlight assembly on a 95 Olds Cutlass Ciera is removed by disconnecting the wiring harness and removing the bulb. The assembly can then be unbolted and removed from the vehicle.
On the side of the block. It is actually not a freeze plug. This is a myth. It is actually a casting plug used to remove the sand during casting. There is no need to replace unless it is leaking. If so then it is simple replacement. Getting to it is the hard part. I suggest you take this to a trusted mechanic.
is it hard to change the water pump on a 1992 Oldsmobile achieva. Yes, it is very hard to replace a water pump on an Achieva. When the pump died on my 1996 Achieva, the engine needed to be unbolted and removed to get to it. As I recall, it cost about $500. I have a 95 Olds Achieva 3.1 and the water pump was very easy to change. Mine is on the front passenger side of the engine. Very easy to get to, just be careful not to break any bolts off. lol
In the underside of the dash, under the steering wheel (a bit left of where the column meets the dash). It should have a label saying "FUSES". You press it, than pull it open. -Ted
The heater core is located in the middle of the dash behind the center console. You have to take the console out to see the heater core.
