I have a 1996 Chevy Z71 so it should be pretty similar. There are 8 or 10 screws in the door panel that you have to take off first. Then you should be able to pry the panel off. If it has never been taken off there is usually some kind of factory seal on it. Sometimes it can be on there pretty good. You will have to lift the door handle to work the panel off and make sure you disconnect your power windows/door locks before you pull to far.....
