Well it should be simple but most of the time its quite tricky...To start remove the cover from the colomn. Next depress the pin. The cylinder should slide right out...only in a book will this happen. The truth is the pin only depress's when the cylinder is in the run possition, but if your replacing a faulty ignition switch that does not turn, than what is the point in making such a safety device...none. If you can not turn the cylinder, you need to DRILL OUT THE PIN, don't worry this is sound advice, Ford will tell you the same thing. Next worry that your wheel is stuck in lock, this may cause the cylinder to futher your problems by hoding on the the cylinder from the back side...this will not be fun now. The only thing left to do is pry this thing out and don't worry about all the damage, you can just simply replace it after you get the cylinder out.

Thank you FORD TECH., you are most certinly built Ford tough
