Actually, for mine, (2000 Grand Caravan A/C, 3.3L, and rear defrost, the resistor array is located in/from the engine compartment.

Open the hood, to your top left, on what is almost the firewall (It is pretty much right up near the top). there is a plug with five heavy gauge wires (14/12ga), There is no screw holding the resistor unit in as it is held in by clips. remove the plug by inserting a 1/4" screwdriver blade into the top of the plug to release the plug retainer, then use a pair of needle nose pliers to firmly pull the resistor unit free.

Due to the A/C lines, there is not a lot of room to get your hand in there at it. A new unit cost me about 15 bucks from the local auto parts shop. I have no idea what the dealer would want for it...

To save hours and alot of headaches on resistor installation, trim off the corners

of the resistor backboard and reinstall. Trim back about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch on

corners and it will go right in!
