I just opened mine up a few months ago (1999 ZR-2) so im doing this from memory... Under the hood, back left you see all the black plastic fairings around the A/C system? On the top, near the firewall there is a molded square (that says "access" if i remember right) around an electrical connector all by itself. Use a utility knife to cut this plastic around the connecter. that will expose the 4 screws holding the retaining plate for the resistor. That's it. Simple but it sucks cutting into that fairing. I would double check your trouble shooting to make sure you know this resistor is the problem and not something else.
good luck.
Ain't no fixin it, you have to replace it with a new one.
if you have a 2003 Chevy Trail blazer and you need to replace the resistor for the rear blower, the one under the passenger side dash is the one that controls the front and rear blower.
where is the blower motor on a 2001 chevy blazer
The blower resistor gets overheated and burns out usually because the blower motor is failing also.
You didn't mention what year S10 Blazer you have but, the blower motor speed resistor can be found under the hood, on the passenger side of the firewall, close to the blower motor.
The fuse. The blower motor speed resistor. The blower motor relay. The blower motor switch. Check for power at the blower motor connection.
On a 1999 Chevy Blazer, the heater blower motor resistor is typically located under the dashboard on the passenger side, near the blower motor itself. It is often mounted to the HVAC housing and can be accessed by removing the lower dash panel. Ensure to disconnect the battery before attempting to replace it to avoid any electrical issues.
Should be behind the glove box. The blower motor speed resistor is located under the hood, on the firewall, passenger side, close to the blower motor.
probably the blower motor resistor
take it to a shop and have them do it If it's the same as a pickup, take out the glove box and the resistor should be on top of the heater box. Not much too it.
The rear blower motor resistor location for a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer Ext LT is beneath the passenger side of the dash.
Under the hood, passengers side firewall, close to the blower motor.
