To replace the headlight switch, disconnect the negative battery cable and wait 10 minutes. Next, remove the screws around the switch. If there are no screws, pry the holding ring that keeps the switch in place away from the dashboard. Slowly slide out the switch and disconnect the wire plugs. With the switch in the 'on' position, push on the headlight case button and remove the switch. There may be a nut that needs to be removed. Slide the new switch into the housing. Replace the nut if you had to remove one. Carefully reattach the wire plugs. Slide the housing back into the dashboard. If you had to remove any screws from the dash, replace them. Test the lights to make sure they're working and then reconnect your battery cable.Ê
