To replace the license plate light bulb on a 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora, first, open the trunk and locate the license plate light assembly. Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry off the lens cover. Remove the old bulb by twisting it counterclockwise, then insert the new bulb and twist it clockwise to secure it. Finally, snap the lens cover back into place and close the trunk.
It is very easy to change the license plate light on an Oldsmobile Aurora. All you need to do is remove the license plate and look above where the plate was. There are bolts that are holding the light in. Unscrew the bolts and then replace the light.
Same circuit/fuse as the parking/tail lights.
A warning light on the dash would illuminate.

Check, or even better replace, the wires.
to replace the headlights on your aurora, theres 2 silver looking screws on top of the headlight assembly under the hood. take those screws out(1 long and 1 short) and CAREFULLY pull forward on the entire light assembly. theres tabs on the far inside of the light assemblies that can be loosened with a flat head screwdriver. good luck.
The light is built into the bumper on that car. Just above the plate.
it is located above the gas pedal almost under the steering wheel
Unscrew license plate and remove to expose light fixtures. Wedge light module away from holes. Replace them and return them to sockets.
