To change the rear brakes on a 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora, start by safely lifting the vehicle and removing the rear wheel. Next, unbolt the caliper and slide it off the brake rotor; be sure to support it without straining the brake line. Remove the old brake pads and replace them with new ones, ensuring they are positioned correctly. Reassemble by reattaching the caliper, replacing the wheel, and lowering the vehicle, then pump the brake pedal to seat the new pads.
To change the rear brakes on a 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora, first, remove the wheel and brake caliper. Before replacing the brake pads, you will need to compress the caliper piston to make room for the new pads. A C-clamp is indeed helpful for this task, as it can be used to gently push the piston back into the caliper housing. After compressing the piston, replace the pads, reassemble the caliper, and reinstall the wheel.

If you don't know how to remove the rear pads on your aurora you have no business trying. It is the same as the front but when you push the piston back in on the caliper, you have to have a special tool that spins the piston in! (Thank you finally an educated answer.. i have been up and down this list correcting these peoples answers. good job)
I personally have had good luck with Auto Zone's middle grade Autozone sucks. I have Wagner thermo Quites and they have stopped me from 100 to 0 several times and don't get to hot even at the track.
