You lift up the tailgate and remove two Phillips head screws vertically aligned holding the inside of the lens in place. (OK, I am sure this is not in the manual) take your fist and smack the lens toward the outside of the car. The lens will come off and the fittings for the two bulbs will be exposed. Rotate the (grey?) surround around the bulb fitting and pull out. The bulb simply pulls straight out. Install with the same steps in reverse. Good Luck (I do this about once a month)
