How to change a timing chain in a 1998 Oldsmobile delta 88
You gotta use tools.
the cam sensor is located in the timing cover usually the magnet the cam sensor senses comes out of the timing gear the fix is replace the timing chain and gear take the sensor out and look through the hole with a mirror while turning the engine over slowly by hand and see if the magnet is gone
The light bulb or the taillight lens? Open the trunk to replace the bulb.
You don't. That is a ripoff. Testing and replace out of range sensors is a more reasoable projct.
About a hundred bucks if you have someone that can do it for you! Mine just died too!
Only if you replace the Dryer, install adapters on the lines, and use compatible oil.
To set the timing on an Oldsmobile Delta 88, first ensure the engine is at operating temperature and then turn off the engine. Locate the timing mark on the harmonic balancer and the timing tab on the engine. Using a timing light, connect it to the battery and number one spark plug wire, then start the engine. Adjust the distributor until the timing mark aligns with the specified degree on the timing tab, usually indicated in the vehicle's service manual.
I have a Delta 88 and its located about 18 inches in front of the rear tire on the driver side, its right under the second door of the driver side.

on a 90 olds 88 royale your sensor sits inside the timing cover...will need to remove the harmonic balancer (need pulley for that) and remove two screws to take sensor out. replace all parts same way they came out and in same order. passenger side of engine in timing cover
