To replace a vent window on a 1995 GMC Vandura, first, remove any trim or molding surrounding the vent window. Carefully pry off the old vent window using a flat tool, ensuring not to damage the surrounding area. Clean the adhesive residue from the frame, then apply new adhesive and position the new vent window in place. Finally, press firmly, allow it to set according to the adhesive instructions, and reinstall any trim or molding.
To replace the vent window seal in a 1995 GMC Vandura, start by removing the vent window assembly from the door. Carefully pry off any trim or molding surrounding the window to access the seal. Once the assembly is out, remove the old seal and clean the area thoroughly. Install the new seal by pressing it into the designated channel, then reassemble the vent window and trim to complete the installation.
I believe, if its like my GMC Jimmy, that the latch is connected to the vent window and has to be replaced as a whole assembly. I recently broke my vent window and got one from the local junk-yard, complete with latch. Now my problem is drilling out the rivets that hold the latch to the frame under the inside plastic, and the rivets that attach the front side (leading edge) under the weather-stripping to the inside of the door jamb.
The vent is blocked.
I just replaced the vent window latch, mine was broke, if this your problem, there is a key (pin) that has to be punched out and slide the handle off carefully, and unscrew the outside off to replace
replace a window lift motor for a 2002 gmc sierra?
Yes I do. would you like it faxed or e-mailed?
It does not take freon. The 1995 GMC Vandura uses the new R134a.
when replacing motor what position does the window need to be in?
No, the GMC Vandura is a van. If you have the Starcraft conversion, the van is technically considered a station wagon for insurance purposes (much cheaper).
The ECM on the Vandura 2500 is under the Driver's seat.
