!. open hood 2. drain remaining solvent from radiator 3. Remove radiator 4. remove fan belt 5. remove fan blades 6. remove existing water pump 7. reverse procedure 8. fill radiator 9. run engine, (makeing sure water lines are not airbound, if so, bleed lines by disconnecting one hose) 10, let engine run until you can get heat out of the heater 11. Check for leaks !2. close hood 13. short road test and check for leaks again, check fluid level

Remove the positive battery cable from your 1988 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck battery. Remove the cables from the front of the starter. Remove the starter retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new starter.
you need to take apart the lower dash on the passenger side. This is not a fun job.

The driveshaft unbolts from the diff at the rear. If you haven't found this out maybe its best to take it to a garage.
