I have not work on Chevy Ttrailblazer so far. I have Chevy Sonoma 2001. My
experience with it at the end was, to replace the the complete "hub unit."
My problem was with the "Bearings wear" and not the sensors. Though the
bearings look good they were "worn out some after 35000 miles."
I had one wheel taken out 4 times and put it back. Finley I did replace the "Hub"
with a new one. To check the sensor "connect voltmeter and spin the wheel,"
the reading should be 1.5 volts to 3.0volts AC.
Many junk yards sell parts at a reasonable cost for DIY.
Probably the wheel speed sensor. Check the connector. If connection is good then the sensor may have been damaged or it has failed.
The ABS sensor is built in to the wheel hub, if its bad, you have to replace the whole wheel hub, they run about $90-120 depending on brand and where you get it.
The ABS sensor on ALL year Chevy Venture vans is located in the hub on the Left and right front tires. If the sensor is failing you unfortunately have to replace the entire hub. The barrings and the sensor are all sealed inside the hub. The ABS electrical connector is just behind the hub under the CV axle.
You replace the brakes on an ABS S10 the same way you replace brakes on a non ABS S10.
