To replace the headlight relay on a 2002 Jeep Liberty, first locate the fuse box, which is typically found under the hood. To replace a headlight on a 2002 Honda Civic first prop the hood open. Locate the headlight housing inside the engine compartment. Find the bulbs and remove them. Install the new bulbs.
Check the fuse/relay panel box adjacent to the battery, under the hood.

it is behind the passenger side headlight assembly. you will have to remove the headlight assembly to replace it.

Try to replace the starter relay
By removing the locks that hold the headlight assembly in place you can wiggle the headlight assembly out to gain access to the headlight bulbs for replacement.
Is your tail light out? Is the relay good? Replace the bulbs in your tail lights, should cost about $4. If that does not do it, go to your local parts store and buy a new relay. Rarely a bad switch.
If the interior lights stay on while driving on a 2002 Impala, there could be a problem with the headlight switch. Check the relay center for the headlights that is just behind the headlight switch.
