On my 2000 Ford Explorer Sport 5-speed manual transmission 4.0L V6 OHV, the PVC valve is located as follows: Standing in the front of the vehicle looking at the right side of the engine on the top of the valve cover. That is a PCV valve, and it should be on the intake manifold. there would be either a rubber hose or a metal pipe leading from it to the air cleaner.
