All i can figure is the dash has to be unbolted and pulled out enough to get to the bolt. I have the same problem and came to this for advise. Needless to say nobody has answered yours yet so idk. But it looks like for some dumba** reason they put one bolt backwards just to make it difficult (or so a "dealer" or "professional" has to take your money). But i'll keep a check up to see if anybody else answers this soon if not i'll tell ya when i get mine off cuz its gotta happen somehow sometime pretty soon. I just hope theres an easier way!

How do you replace the driver side door of a Chevy S10 blazer?

You didn't say what year you have but, later models require removing the door panel, disconnecting the wire harness, removing the detent spring and drive out the two hinge pins. The spring will need a special tool to replace. You don't want to replace the hinges unless you have no choice. The original hinges are welded in to the door and the cab. They can be replaced but it is a expensive job. In most cases you can replace the hinge pins and bushings to restore the hinges back to normal. The pins and bushings are available at your local auto parts store.
