On my 2000 Grand AM SE the switch is in the dash above the radio (behind the hazard indicator button). You can remove the plate covering this part of the dash by prying around the edges.
On my 2001 it is part of the Hazard switch. You have to replace the entire switch on a 2001.
To replace the hazard switch on a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am, start by disconnecting the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Remove the trim panel around the radio and climate controls to access the switch. Detach the old hazard switch by pulling it out of the panel and disconnecting the wiring harness, then connect the new switch and reassemble the trim panel. Finally, reconnect the battery and test the new switch to ensure it functions properly.
