I have an '03 sport, im sure they are the same or at least very close. One should begin by popping and opening his or her hood. There is, just above the lamp assembly, two black clip looking pieces. These clips have an "L" shape, you pull the clips straight up(towards the sky). The entire lamp assembly will then pull forward (towards the person removing the assembly). The clips can be VERY Difficult to pull upwards and the assembly can be tricky to pull forward; however, this is the proper method to replace the head lamps. (the black clips slide about 2 inches upward and should not be completely removed). When replacing the assembly there are black bullet looking jobies (two on top one on bottom) that have to be re-aligned. They simply must go back into there hole, or else the black clips will not slide back into place. The person who sold you the replacement lights should be able to show him or her the procedure.
you go in from the backside of the headlight assembly (under hood) it come out similar to the way we used to change tail light bulbs
To replace the headlight on a 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, start by opening the hood and locating the headlight assembly. Remove the plastic cover or bolts securing the assembly, then disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the headlight. Carefully twist and pull out the old bulb, and insert the new bulb without touching the glass. Reconnect the wiring harness, secure the headlight assembly back in place, and close the hood.
According to the 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Owner Guide : ( # 9007 bulb is used in the headlights )
According to the owner's manual - headlight bulb # 9007

No, you cannot replace a faulty Ford Sport Trac cluster with a cluster from the 2005 Explorer.

The oil drain valve on a 2000 Ford Explorer Sport is located near the rear of the oil pan. The radiator drain petcock is located at the bottom the radiator.
Well the lines from the tank to the filter require a special tool you can buy at Auto Zone for about $6.
