For: Ford Expedition... *** Caution *** Never open, service or drain the radiator or cooling system when hot; serious burns can occur from the steam and hot coolant. heater coil on a linclon town car 2002
Very hard.
The heater CORE is a big job. Get a manual on your car to do the job correctly.
It's tough for an amateur. The heater core is inside behind the console.
To replace the heater coil in a 1989 Chrysler New Yorker, first ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Drain the coolant from the radiator and remove the dashboard to access the heater box. Disconnect the hoses from the heater core, unbolt it from the heater box, and replace it with the new unit. Finally, reassemble everything, refill the coolant, and reconnect the battery.
The dash has to be removed to gain access to the heater box. The heater box then comes out and is split open to replace the core.
