look at the plenum, (he part that says 5.0 HO) and look in the "bottom" left most corner, by the throttle body, you will see a cylindrical piece bolted to the plenum, remove the two bolts, disconnect the electrical connector and make sure you either get a new gasket or be EXTREMELY careful not to damage the existing gasket for reuse. installation is the reverse of removal :)
I have a Mazda 2001 Tribute and I just replaced the Idle Air Control Valve (IAC). I searched for Idle Speed Control actuator and there does not appear to be one. The IAC is the silver module right on top of the manifold.
The idle is adjusted by way of the Idle Air Control motor as directed from the Engine Control Module. The idle is computer controlled. I changeTHE IAC motor for a new one ,still there is a bit of a rough Idle, what can be the trouble
Possibly the IAC ( Idle Air Control) vavle on the throttle body, or egr vavle stuck open..........would check or replace IAC first, usually not expensive.
Yes, a 2001 Dodge Ram is equipped with an Idle Air Control (IAC) motor. The IAC motor is responsible for regulating the engine's idle speed by controlling the amount of air that bypasses the throttle plate. If you're experiencing idle issues, the IAC motor could be a potential component to check or replace.
If you need to increase the idle you either have a vacume leak or the iac (idle air control) valve needs replace. Because this motor are control eletronicly.
To adjust the idle air control (IAC) on a Hyundai Excel, first ensure the engine is at operating temperature and then disconnect the IAC connector. Use a multimeter to check the resistance of the IAC valve, and if it's out of spec, replace it. If adjustments are needed, you can turn the idle speed adjustment screw slightly while monitoring the idle RPM to achieve the desired idle speed, typically around 700-900 RPM. Always reconnect the IAC connector and recheck the idle after any adjustments.
It doesn't have an idle adjusting screw. The idle speed is controlled by the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve which receives it's signal from the PCM (Powertrain Control Module). If you are having idle problems the IAC needs to be taken off and cleaned or replaced. It is a small elctric motor on top of the throttle body. It has a couple wires going into the end of it. Take it off by removing the two bolts with an 8 mm socket. Clean it with carb cleaner, oil it and replace it.
Check or replace the IAC (Idle air control) This is the problem 95% of the time especially in well maintained cars
Remove the throttle body. Remove the 4 IAC mounting screws. Remove the IAC.
Idle Air control (IAC) Bad Idle Air control (IAC) Bad
are you looking for the IAC (idol air control)? It it should be attached to the throttle body, it is a cylindrical part and will have a a wire plug comming out the back.
Remove, clean, replace IAC (Idle Air Control).
