If you need to increase the idle you either have a vacume leak or the iac (idle air control) valve needs replace. Because this motor are control eletronicly.
i would check for vacuum leaks first but there is an idle august screw on the air intake wear the throttle cable connects to the intake
You cant...
u cant its computer controlled needs a idle air control
It is either an intake gasket leak or a head gasket.
it cant, the idle on that car cant be tampered with.it has to be taken to a shop hooked on there computer so they can set it.
Not really possible. There is an idle speed control on most 1988 v6 machines. If you are experiencing high idle, it may be a broken ISC. The idle speed is controlled by computer. http://www.marksatterfield.com
possible cause of high idle could be that your idle contol switch / valve has carbon build up on it. remove and clean with carburetor cleaner. let it dry completely before re-installing it. idle should come down if not it has probably gone bad and need to be replaced.
How high is your idle? idle should be 800rpm good oil pressure is obtained at this idle
The idle speed on a VW Polo is regulated by a Idle air control valve. The valve is located in the engine bay and can be adjusted through to either increase and lower the idle speed.

The idle speed is set at the factory and is NOT adjustable.
the idle tensioner and or the distributor.
