To replace the idle air control (IAC) motor on a Ford Windstar, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Locate the IAC motor, which is typically found on the throttle body; disconnect the electrical connector and remove the mounting screws. Carefully take out the old motor and install the new one, making sure to secure it properly and reconnect the electrical connector. Finally, reconnect the battery and start the vehicle to ensure proper operation.
rough idle smell gas
where is the idle control motor for a 1998 ford escort
I have a 2000 Windstar and it does this at times but it is normally when I start it and go to quickly not letting it idle down. Also mine has 322,000 with original transmission and motor and it has done it for several years.
no.fully unajusteble
You need to replace or clean the ERG valve. This will help with your milage too.
You might want to check your main vacuum line
Hey Kulwant==It is probably the idle speed motor not reacting when a load is placed on the engine. Sometimes you can remove them and clean them and they will be ok. GoodlukcJOe
the iac motor is faulty replace....(automatic idle control) easy fix 2 bolts and 2-3 wire connections.
The computer does - there is no way to adjust it. If it is improper something is wrong with one of the sensors - that is the most likely problem.
Trouble code P1507 means: Idle air control (IAC) underspeed error
Might this supposed to be IAC (Idle Air Control)??If so, see "Related Questions" below for more
Either the throtle cable is hanging or the idle control solonoid is not working
