Jack up the vehicle place on stands. Remove rear wheels and brake drum. Remove rear cover. Catch the gear oil in a drain pan. Remove the pin that holds the shaft for the spyder gears. Push the shaft out but do not pull it completely out. push axle inward remove c-clips from the end of the axle. pull axle out. Get a slide hammer to remove bearing from axle housing. replace bearing. reverse order to reassemble. How ever look at the wear on the axles. they will likely have to be replaced. good luck
You have to buy the wheel bearing assembly.
Wheel bearings on 1995 Geo Prizms are sealed units and cannot be repacked with grease. You must buy new bearings to be pressed on hubs by mechanic with proper tools. If bearings are worn, replace ASAP before bearings start damaging hubs, you'll save bunches of money.
I have a 2011 650i and it costs 1300 its prolly about that...
Yes it does. It has inner and outer bearings.
YES
In most cases wheel bearings cannot be repaired and must be replaced. Remove the tire and wheel. Remove the axle end cap. Remove the wheel bearing seal. Remove the wheel bearings. Reverse the process to install the new wheel bearings.
Front or Rear? Both
If it anything like the 1995 CC Sedan, you replace the whole front wheel hubs, rather than just the bearing. Its easier & cheaper after you take workshop charges / parts into consideration.
don't you have a manual that can help us?
You have to have the hub pressed out of the knuckle to replace the wheel studs.
Yes, this is the usual way.
You are going to have to determine which ball bearings before you can get a price to replace them. Sorry I can't be more help.
