Hi, You can use a piece of bent coat hanger and bend it so it fits in the holes but the far easier method is to go to a local auto parts store and purchase a "Radio Removal Tool", I think it cost me about $8.00 or so.
When you have the tool, you insert the tool in the holes in the front of the radio and push the tools to the outside and then pull with the tools, the radio will come out. Unplug the radio harness and antenna. According to the book you should disconnect the Neg Battery terminal before you begin. With the "radio Removal Tool" it really is an easy job and you can remove the coin and cup holder assy if you have those too. I found it easier to do some work by removing the bottom unit. Good Luck.
