I have an 02, but it should work the same way. Unscrew the tail light cover from the outside, then pull it off.

The cover comes off with easy prying on the side of the plastic case over the assembly. Then, the bulbs holder comes out with a slight twist. The bulbs can then be pulled from the bulb holder.
