Could someone post directions on how to change the thermostat on a 2002 Pont. Aztek? Is it any different than a 2003?
It shouldn't be any different....

To change the thermostat in a 2002 Pontiac Aztek, first ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the negative battery terminal. Drain the coolant from the radiator, then remove the upper radiator hose connected to the thermostat housing. Unbolt the thermostat housing to access the thermostat, replace it with a new one, and reassemble by reversing the steps. Finally, refill the coolant and check for leaks.

The thermostat is located in the housing where the top radiator hose connects to the engine. You will have to disconnect the hose and unbolt the housing to get to the thermostat.
To replace the thermostat on a 2002 Pontiac Montana, first ensure the engine is cool, then disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing and unbolt the housing to access the thermostat. Replace the old thermostat with a new one, ensuring the gasket is properly aligned, then reassemble the housing and hose. Finally, reconnect the battery and refill the coolant as needed.
The fuel tank on a 2002 Pontiac Aztek has a capacity of approximately 16 gallons. This allows for a reasonable driving range between fill-ups, depending on driving conditions and fuel efficiency.
It doesn't matter. A thermostat is a non-serviceable item. If it is bad, you replace it. That probably isn't your problem though.

To change the shift solenoid in a 2002 Pontiac Aztek, first disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Then, remove the transmission pan and fluid to access the solenoid. Locate the shift solenoid, disconnect its electrical connector, and unbolt it from the transmission. Replace it with the new solenoid, reassemble the transmission pan, refill the fluid, and reconnect the battery.
Yes (all Azteks have the same engine. Mind you, Azteks were only made from 2001-2005) - GM 3400 3.4-liter V6 185 Horse Power and 210lbs of torque. Many GM cars have this engine, including the Pontiac Grand Am, which says "RAM AIR" under the hood, but has no such thing. :-D lol
The Aztek holds 5 qts of oil
On a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire with a 2.2-liter engine, the thermostat is located on the engine's cylinder head, at the end of the upper radiator hose. To access it, you typically need to remove the upper radiator hose and the thermostat housing. Once the housing is removed, you can replace the thermostat. Always ensure the engine is cool before attempting any repairs.
