Yes (all Azteks have the same engine. Mind you, Azteks were only made from 2001-2005) - GM 3400 3.4-liter V6 185 Horse Power and 210lbs of torque.
Many GM cars have this engine, including the Pontiac Grand Am, which says "RAM AIR" under the hood, but has no such thing. :-D lol
if you have a 3.3l v6, then you follow the upper radiator hose to where it connects to the block. It's around the throttle. The place where the hose connects can be removed, and the thermostat is in there.
The thermostat is commonly located on the front of the engine. It can be located where either the upper or lower radiator hoses connect to the engine.
The thermostat on a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am 2.2L L4 Ecotec is replaced by removing the upper radiator hose and unbolting the thermostat housing. The thermostat can then be removed, a new gasket installed, and the replacement thermostat put in place.
Drain all the coolant from the radiator. Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the engine. Remove the aluminum thermostat housing. Should be held in place with 2 bolts. There you will find the thermostat.
The thermostat is located at the driver side of the engine, under the air intake piping. All the intake stuff must be removed to get to the housing which has two bolts holding it in place. The lower bolt, located under the exhaust pipe, is a Bear to get at! Replace with an OEM part, as SOME of the generic parts won't allow you to get the housing back on without removing the exhaust.
3.1L? read the instructions under how to change on a 1996 cutlass...its the same motor and in the same place and is changed the same way. that's the nice thing about GM. .
It is located where the bottom hose of the radiator connects to the engine. There are two bolts that hold it in place the thermostat is right inside that housing.
The thermostat on a 96 Nissan Altima is located on top of the engine at the upper radiator hose. It is contained under the thermostat housing which holds it in place.
first drain the coolant at the bottom drivers side rad follow the top rad hose on drivers side to the motor the housing it is clamped to is the thermostat housing remove the air intake tube & throttle body two bolts hold the housing in place remove them slid the hose and housing out when installing be sure the thermostat is seated or you will break the housing
located in the lower radiator hose where it meets the engine block. There is a bracket with 2 screws in it covering the thermostat to hold it in place. Remove the screws and remove the thermostat
The thermostat is located on the front of the intake manifold. Follow the upper rad hose to the manifold. It drops behind the alternator. Not a fun place to work but you can remove the thermostat housing and hose connected together.
The thermostat is located on the top of the manifold (2.4L) on the passenger side of the car. Just follow the top radiator hose to where it is bolted to the the manifold remove the 2 bolts holding it in place and lift the housing off the thermostat.
