The water pump is powered by the timing belt. While you're in there you may as well change the belt. I'm told you need a special tool to keep the cam? aligned while everything is apart ( I brought it to a garage to have it done) I'm sure a Chilton's manual ( or equivilent ) will describe how to do it.
