Make sure to rule out the up/down switch in the door before you tear into it. I was pleasantly surprised to find that only my switch was bad by taking the master switch off of the drivers door and (with power off) switching the wires around. It was tricky but a lot easier than replacing that motor which is very difficult to reach, being inside the door.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the old window motor, then remove the mounting bolts securing the motor and housing to the door. Replace the old motor and housing with the new unit, secure it with bolts, and reconnect the electrical connector before reassembling the door panel. Finally, test the window operation to ensure everything is functioning correctly.
