To reprogram the remote for a 2007 Cadillac DTS, first, get inside the vehicle and close all doors. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (without starting the engine) and then back to "Off" five times within 10 seconds. After the fifth turn, leave the key in the "On" position, and the locks should cycle, indicating the vehicle is in programming mode. Press any button on the remote you want to program, and the locks will cycle again to confirm the programming. Repeat for any additional remotes, then turn the key to "Off" to exit programming mode.
You have to hit the lock button 1st, then hit the remote start button and hold for a few seconds.

The "DTS" as in Cadillac DTS stands for DeVille Touring Sedan. The Cadillac DTS replaced the Cadillac DeVille. The Cadillac DTS was first produced in 2005.
Just look in the owner's manual. I have two Lincolns and have to do that every time I move. I never remember, so I just refer to the manual.

Adaptive Remote Start allows you to start the engine, activate your presets, including cabin temperature, all the while you are more than a half football field away.
Cadillac DTS was created in 2005.
To my knowledge, Cadillac will not be producing the Cadillac DTS for the year 2012. The Cadillac DTS will be replaced for the 2012 year with the Cadillac XTS. Hope this helps!
