you can disconect the battery for a minute to 5 minutes, if that dosent work you havent fixed the problem.
unhook both battery cables for a few minutes
Just unplug the negative terminal of the battery for about 10 minutes and that will reset the computer
The computer will reset itself after a few driving cycles. To reset the Check Engine light you can try this. Disconnect the positive battery cable for 20 minutes. If that does not work you will need an OBD2 scan tool to reset the light. Go to the place where you bought the O2 sensor and ask them to reset the light. Some will and some won't.
Remove the negative power line to the battery. Wait a few seconds and replace. That will reset the check engine light. darksidesteve
disconnect the negative battery cable for 30 seconds
Yes, after replacing a camshaft position sensor, it's often necessary to reset the check engine light. This can typically be done using an OBD-II scanner or by disconnecting the vehicle's battery for a short period. However, some vehicles may automatically reset the light after several drive cycles if the issue is resolved. Always consult your vehicle's manual or a professional for specific instructions.
Reset light when replacing headlight
THE CHEAP WAY.... DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FOR A MINUTE OR SO. JOSE
Why would you need to reset the Powertrain control module (PCM)???Are you asking how do you clear the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT??
To reset a motion sensor light, turn off the power to the light at the circuit breaker for a few minutes, then turn it back on. This should reset the sensor and allow it to function properly again.
hi how do i reset tire pressure sensor light on
Because after you change a sensor you have to hook a OBD I or II to your computer's wire harness to clear the code. Or you can turn the backwards and then forwards and sometimes that will reset it. Either way changing the sensor won't reset the check engine light...U have to clear it thur your computer.
